Everything you need to use Jane.Social effectively — connecting your social accounts, creating and scheduling posts, using AI to write content, tracking analytics, and managing your account.
Getting Started
Get up and running with Jane.Social in just a few minutes.
1) Connect your social accounts
Link your social media profiles so you can publish and manage content from one place. Jane.Social supports 12 platforms.
- Click "Socials" in the sidebar to open the connections page.
- Choose a platform from the grid and sign in to authorize Jane.Social.
- Once authorized, you'll return to Jane and your account will appear as connected.
- Repeat for each platform you use.
2) Create your first post
Once your accounts are connected, you can compose and publish your first post in seconds.
- Click "Posts" in the sidebar, then click "+ New Post."
- Write your content or use Jane AI to generate a draft.
- Select which connected accounts to publish to.
- Click "Publish Now" or schedule it for later.
Publishing
Create, schedule, and manage your social media content from a single dashboard.
Compose posts
The post composer lets you write content, attach media, and preview how your post will look on each platform before publishing.
- Write once, publish to multiple platforms simultaneously.
- Choose between Rich Text, Plain Text, or HTML editor modes.
- Attach images by clicking or dragging into the upload area.
- Click "Preview Posts" to see how your content will appear on each selected platform.
Schedule & Calendar
Plan your content in advance with scheduling and the visual calendar.
- Schedule: Toggle "Schedule for later" in the composer, then pick a date, time, and timezone.
- Recurring: Set a recurring schedule (weekly or monthly) to post the same content on a repeating basis.
- Calendar: View all your scheduled posts on a visual calendar — switch between month, week, or day views.
Jane AI
Let Jane help you write engaging social media content. Look for the "Ask Jane" section in the post composer.
- Write It: Describe what you want and Jane generates a full draft.
- Polish: Improve an existing draft for better engagement and clarity.
- Trim: Shorten your post to fit platform character limits.
- Hashtags: Automatically add relevant hashtags to your post.
Platforms & Limits
Jane.Social supports 12 platforms. Each has different character and media limits. The table below shows the key constraints for each platform.

Platforms that support threads (X, Threads, Bluesky) allow you to chain multiple posts together. LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok support a "first comment" feature for additional context. Instagram and Pinterest require at least one image.
Analytics
Track how your content performs across all connected platforms.
Post performance
- View overview cards for total posts, published count, impressions, and average engagement rate.
- Filter by date range and platform to narrow your results.
- Browse the daily metrics chart for impressions, likes, comments, shares, and clicks.
Engagement insights
- Compare performance across platforms in the platform breakdown table.
- View your top posts sorted by impressions, likes, or comments.
- Click "View" on any top post to see it on its native platform.
- Track follower growth over time per connected account.
Inbox
Manage messages and comments from all your social platforms in one place.
Comments
- Switch to the "Comments" tab to see comments on your published posts.
- Click a post to view its comment thread, including nested replies.
- Reply, like, hide, or delete individual comments directly from Jane.Social.
Messages
- Switch to the "Messages" tab to see direct message conversations.
- Click a conversation to read the full thread and reply.
- Filter by account to focus on a specific platform.
Account & Billing
Manage your profile, security, and payment information.
Profile settings
- Click "Account" in the sidebar to update your name, email, profile photo, and default timezone.
- Change your password in the Password section (email/password accounts only — Google sign-in users manage credentials through Google).
Billing
- Scroll to "Billing & Subscription" on the Account page to manage your payment method.
- View your invoice history and click "View" on any invoice to see full details or print it.
Notifications
- Click "Jane" in the sidebar to configure notification preferences.
- Set the frequency for Activity Digests, Post Reminders, Engagement Alerts, and Post Published notifications.
